The Story
The Peerless Black 17000 is an entry level belt drive compressor that runs quietly with a slow turning pump. Driven by a 3HP electric motor on a 15 amp plug, it produces an impressive 280 litres per minute of free air delivery, making it a strong performer for a light industrial machine. Like the PB14000 below it, it has caster wheels on the front and pneumatic wheels on the back so it is easy to move around the workshop.
It will run tools such as a low pressure spray gun, tyre inflation gun, stapling and framing guns, grease gun, caulking and riveter guns, screwdriver, half inch ratchet and impact guns and an air duster. As a light industrial machine it has its limits, so for high air demand move up to a larger belt drive. Keep piston compressors within their duty cycle, and make sure site voltage stays above 230 volts, using extra air hose rather than long extension leads to avoid voltage drop.
