The Story
The Peerless PHP35 Diesel delivers 720 litres per minute of free air, working at either 116PSI (8 bar) or 145PSI (10 bar). The high pressure output inflates truck tyres quickly with no down time. It uses the Peerless floating top plate, which is not hard welded to the tank so it absorbs vibration from the engine and pump, reduces metal stress on the air receiver and lessens the load transferred to the mount, and on a vehicle build the tank can be separated from the top plate at no additional cost. It is powered by a Yanmar L70 key start diesel engine, and a twin tank version is also available.
Key start is the only option in the diesel range, and the Conrader idle control valve throttles the engine up and down with air demand, venting excess air when it is not needed. Every Peerless diesel build comes with a suitable water trap filter regulator fitted for 0 to 145PSI or 0 to 175PSI operation, and each machine is run and tested before delivery. Custom builds are available, including a lift pump fuel feed, an MDG15 mine compliant retro box and wiring loom extensions. Electric start engines do not come with a battery, leads or battery provisions. Performance of the belt driven range is rated to AS4637.
