Kolor Kut Water Finding Paste, also known as water gauging paste, is used to test for the presence of water in the bottom of oil, diesel, petrol, fuel oil and kerosene tanks. Applied to a rod or a length of string with a bottom weight, the golden brown paste changes to brilliant red where it contacts water, giving a visual indication of the depth of water present. The water can then be pumped out and the test repeated until there is insufficient water to pump.
