Banlaw vents are available in unfiltered, filtered and fine filtered variants. All Banlaw vents are manufactured with a float valve to shut off refuelling at a specific ullage, and are designed to release air from the fuel tank rapidly during high-speed refuelling while avoiding premature nozzle shut-off, fuel spills and sprays.
The patented Fine Filtered Vent prevents damaging airborne contaminants from entering fuel tanks and other fluid storages while maximising the efficiency of high-speed refuelling. It filters airborne particles through a 3 micron absolute filter while bypassing outgoing air past the filter element, which avoids the tank over-pressurisation that can occur when standard breather filters block, and a visual filter condition indicator monitors filter health. The volume of potentially contaminated air entering a tank equals the volume of fuel being dispensed, and installing ultra-fine filtered tank vents is recommended by many major diesel engine OEMs and has been proven to significantly increase the life of fuel systems and engine components.
Productivity benefits include increased machine efficiency, minimised fuel burn, optimised time between service events, reduced risk of breakdowns and failures, extended equipment life, and controlled emissions.
