The Mirka 1230 L PC dust extractor is designed to improve performance and keep pace with increasingly efficient, dust-free sanding tools and abrasives. It is the flagship of Mirka's extraction line, combining a powerful 1200 W motor and single-stage turbine that create 250 mbar of pressure and 4500 l/min of airflow, all in a compact unit that stows under a bench or counter.
Rated L-Class, it is made for soft woods and solid surface materials, and runs at a remarkably quiet 60 dB. Large wheels and sturdy casters make it highly manoeuvrable in tight spaces, and it can be remotely switched by activating a connected power tool. The 1230 L PC uses a manual push-and-clean filter system, while the AFC models add automatic filter cleaning that runs every 15 seconds to keep performance consistent. Extractors are rated by dust hazard: L-Class for soft woods and solid surfaces, M-Class for hard woods, board materials, concrete and brick dust, and H-Class for highly carcinogenic dusts such as asbestos.
